Tamil Nadu Cabinet: The Tamil Nadu government allocated portfolios to ministers in Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s Cabinet, with the Chief Minister retaining some of the most powerful departments, including Home, Police and Women and Child Welfare. According to the official portfolio allocation list, Vijay will continue to oversee Public Administration, General Administration, Home, District Revenue Officers, Police, Special Programme Implementation, Women Welfare, Youth Welfare, Welfare of Children, Welfare of the Aged and Differently Abled Persons, Municipal Administration and Urban and Water Supply. The allocation signals a tightly controlled administrative structure, with the Chief Minister holding charge of key governance, law and order and welfare departments at the state’s highest level. The move places him in charge of the state’s fiscal planning, expenditure management and financial administration under the new government. Selvi S Keerthana Gets Industries Portfolio Youngest minister Selvi S Keerthana has been allotted the Industries portfolio, along with Investment Promotion, making her one of the prominent faces of the Cabinet. N Anand Gets Rural Development And Water Resources N Anand has been appointed Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources. His responsibilities include Rural Development, Panchayats and Panchayat Union, Poverty Alleviation Programmes, Rural Indebtedness and Irrigation Projects, including small-scale irrigation systems. Aadhav Arjuna Gets Public Works And Sports Development Aadhav Arjuna has been given charge of Public Works and Sports Development. His portfolio includes Public Works such as Buildings, Highways and Minor Ports, along with the development of sports infrastructure and related welfare initiatives. Other Key Allocations Dr KG Arunraj has been allotted the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare portfolios, while P Venkataramanan will handle Food and Civil Supplies along with Consumer Protection and Price Control. Rajmohan will oversee School Education, Tamil Development, and Information and Publicity, along with Archaeology, Tamil Official Language and Culture, Film Technology and Cinematograph regulation, Newsprint Control, Stationery and Printing and Government Press. Dr TK Prabhu has been given the Natural Resources portfolio, including Minerals and Mines.
