Students and parents of Class 12 students in India are expressing frustration over the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-evaluation portal, which has been plagued by technical glitches and fluctuating fees. Reports indicate that the fees for re-evaluation and obtaining answersheets have varied wildly, with some students being charged as much as ₹69,420 for multiple subjects. In response to these issues, the CBSE has extended the deadline for obtaining scanned photocopies of answer sheets to May 24. Complaints have surfaced regarding website crashes, payment failures, and incomplete records, leading to concerns about the reliability of the evaluation process. Public representatives, including MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian, have sought intervention from the Union education minister, highlighting the difficulties faced by students during this critical period. The situation has intensified as many students are simultaneously preparing for competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, and CUET, adding to their stress amid the ongoing issues with the CBSE portal. The board has acknowledged the unprecedented traffic and unauthorized interference affecting the system but assures that efforts are being made to resolve these problems.
