Ronda Rousey is pulling no punches ahead of her MVP MMA 1 comeback. During a recent press conference for the event, the women's MMA pioneer fired back at UFC bantamweight queen Kayla Harrison for questioning her motives for returning to competition. In the lead-up to her comeback, 'Rowdy' had questioned the relevance of Harrison's potential fight against Amanda Nunes. True to form, Harrison fired back, claiming Rousey's MVP MMA comeback has more to do with a paycheck than legacy.Ariel Helwani brought up the Ohio native's comments during an MVP presser, and Rousey did not hesitate to fire back, taking particular issue with Harrison's remark about money and legacy:"The biggest money fight is the biggest fight period, and we obviously have very different definitions of greatness. Mine is making history, having a cultural impact, and influencing the future of the sport. I've already won a record eight consecutive title fights, there is nothing left for me to do [in the UFC]."Rousey added:"Now, me and Gina are smashing the record for the most that women have ever been paid in combat sports, and who's to say we can't parlay the success of this into me and her making a genre-shattering martial arts bill on Netflix after this? Who is to say that the success of this fight can't create the rival that the UFC needs... Hell, if we knock this out of the park, I could become the face of MVP in MMA and the most powerful figure in this sport since Dana [White]. I'm not chasing greatness. Motherf**ker, I am greatness."Check out Ronda Rousey's comments below:Ronda Rousey teases retirement ahead of Gina Carano fightRonda Rousey's highly anticipated comeback is now just hours away.
