The 75-year-old actor was seen standing in line with other voters, demonstrating his commitment to participate in the democratic process without seeking any special treatment. He expressed confidence in the Election Commission's ability to ensure a smooth voting process. Alongside Chakraborty, several Tollywood celebrities, including Prosenjit Chatterjee and Sourav Ganguly, also voted, sharing their experiences on social media to encourage public participation. Mithun Chakraborty has had a varied political journey, initially joining the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) in 2014 before resigning in 2016 due to health issues. He made a comeback in 2021 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), where he continues to leverage his popularity to influence public opinion.
