In a statement on X, he conveyed his condolences to the families affected and announced financial assistance through the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Each family of the deceased will receive ₹2 lakh (approximately $2,400 USD), while those injured will be compensated with ₹50,000 (around $600 USD). The incident occurred when a bucket carrying molten steel collapsed during a lifting operation, spilling superheated metal and causing significant casualties. Immediate rescue and relief operations were initiated, with the injured being transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also expressed his shock and directed officials to ensure a coordinated response to the tragedy, emphasizing the need for support from all relevant departments to assist those affected by the accident.
