Claude Design, a recent offering from Anthropic Labs, is designed to facilitate the creation of visual content such as slide decks and social media posts. However, users have reported challenges with its usability, particularly regarding editing and exporting designs. Despite its visually appealing outputs, many found that the regular Claude chat function provided a smoother experience for generating shareable content. Users noted that Claude Design often required extensive debugging and manual intervention to achieve desired results, making it less practical than anticipated. While the tool includes features aimed at enhancing user experience, such as inline comments and a dedicated canvas, these did not significantly improve overall functionality. As a result, many users preferred the traditional Claude chat for its reliability and ease of use. The disconnect between the tool's intended purpose and user experience suggests that Claude Design may not yet meet the expectations of its expanding user base.
