India and Canada are signaling renewed momentum in their trade negotiations, particularly regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, highlighting the progress made and expressing optimism for an early conclusion of the agreement. Goyal noted that the CEPA could significantly enhance economic ties, aiming to triple bilateral trade from the current $17 million to $50 million by 2030.
