The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board released the SSLC results, revealing an overall pass percentage of 88.73%, a significant rise from 74.74% last year. Out of 8,56,516 candidates, 7,60,002 passed, with 94.1% of first-time candidates clearing the exams. Notably, Dakshina Kannada district achieved the highest pass rate at 98.4%, followed closely by Udupi at 98.18% and Uttara Kannada at 98.09%. Girls continued to outperform boys, with a pass rate of 96.18% compared to 91.94% for boys. Among the freshers, seven students secured 100% marks. The exams were conducted from March 18 to April 2 across 2,870 centers, with evaluation occurring from April 8 to April 16. The results reflect a positive trend in the state's education system, particularly in government schools, which saw a pass percentage rise to 93.97% from 77.15%.
