The five-day music festival organized by the Sanketi Sangeetha Sabha to commemorate its silver jubilee concluded in Hosahalli, near Shivamogga, Karnataka, on Sunday. A standout feature of the festival was a 24-hour non-stop music program that commenced at 6 p.m. on Saturday and continued until 6 p.m. on Sunday. The event took place at Gamaka Bhavan, where local residents, primarily fans of Carnatic music, gathered to enjoy the performances throughout the night. The festival showcased a variety of vocal and instrumental performances, alongside informative lecture demonstrations. Notably, Aneesh Nagesh delivered a talk focusing on the compositions of the renowned Carnatic composer Muthuswami Dikshitar, enriching the audience's understanding of his work. Additionally, the TRK Brothers, Akshay and Abhishek, performed several of Dikshitar’s kritis, further enhancing the educational aspect of the festival. The event, which started on Wednesday, May 27, attracted music lovers from various regions, celebrating the rich tradition of Carnatic music in the community.
