Mathias Boe has officially reunited with India's leading men's doubles badminton pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, following their recent triumph at the Singapore Open. This victory marked the end of a two-year title drought for the duo, who last secured a title at the Thailand Open in May 2024. Boe, who previously coached them from January 2021 to August 2024, has returned as a coaching consultant and sparring partner for Tan Kim Her, who took over after Boe's departure following their quarterfinal exit at the Paris Olympics. Boe announced his return on social media, stating he began working with the pair in April during the Thomas Cup. His focus will be on tactical analysis as they prepare for the BWF World Championships in New Delhi in August and the Asian Games in Japan later this year. Boe's earlier coaching stint was notably successful, leading Satwik and Chirag to the top of the world rankings and multiple titles, including the historic Asian Games gold in Hangzhou. The upcoming competitions will be crucial as they aim to defend their Asian Games title and possibly prepare for the 2028 Olympics.
