Twitch has unveiled a new feature called Dual Format, enabling creators to stream in both horizontal and vertical formats simultaneously, which is set to launch next month. This enhancement aims to improve the viewing experience for users on both desktop and mobile devices. Alongside this feature, Twitch is introducing 2K streaming support, allowing for higher bitrates of up to 9 Mbps for 1440p and 7.5 Mbps for 1080p. Additional updates include mid-stream summaries to assist viewers who join late, and the introduction of GIFs in chat for Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscribers. To further facilitate content creation, Twitch will implement Auto Clips, which will automatically generate shareable clips from significant moments during streams. Creators will also have the option to auto-caption community clips, and a best clips list will be featured in the stream summary for easier sharing on Twitch Stories. These improvements reflect Twitch's commitment to enhancing the platform for creators and viewers alike.
