The Delhi government is set to establish Karmik Sewa Kendras (KSKs) across the city, inspired by the successful Passport Seva Kendra model. This initiative aims to assist around 30 lakh construction workers, particularly those from vulnerable groups such as migrants and those in the unorganised sector. Officials have initiated the process of engaging an agency to design and develop 13 static and 13 mobile KSKs to improve access to essential services and welfare schemes. The project also includes the creation of 39 Labour Chowks in Delhi's 13 districts to facilitate various welfare board schemes. The KSKs will be equipped with advanced technology, including Artificial Intelligence-based Digital Seva Kendras, to enhance service delivery and reduce wait times. By streamlining the registration process and maintaining accurate records, the KSK initiative seeks to improve worker satisfaction and accessibility to services, ultimately replicating the success seen with the Passport Seva Kendras.
