Ethan Lacey, a 20-year-old tourist from Castle Vale, Birmingham, is fighting for his life in a hospital in Pattaya, Thailand, after a tragic accident on May 15. While visiting his cousin, Ethan fell from a moving pickup truck at a busy junction and was subsequently run over by the vehicle's rear wheel. His family lost contact with him until they located him in the intensive care unit, where he was given a mere 30% chance of survival. The driver of the truck reportedly fled the scene without assisting Ethan. His grandmother, Anthea Chatwin, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the mounting medical expenses, which are estimated to be between £800 and £1,000 per day. Unfortunately, Ethan's travel insurance has expired, prompting the urgent need for public support. As of now, the family has raised just over £2,200 towards their goal of £5,500. Anthea expressed gratitude for any assistance, stating that Ethan's family is on their way to Thailand to be with him during this critical time.
