However, hydroelectric power generation suffers during dry months, dropping to 2,747,921 MWh in April and May, while solar energy generation peaks at 1,385,122 MWh. Despite solar's advantages during summer, it cannot fully compensate for the hydroelectric shortfall, as its capacity factors remain low without energy storage systems. Coal and geothermal energy play crucial roles in stabilizing the grid, with coal usage spiking during evening peak hours. A diverse energy mix is essential for addressing seasonal demand fluctuations and ensuring energy security. The integration of renewable energy sources, while beneficial, requires careful planning and additional baseload generation to maintain a reliable power system. Policymakers and industry stakeholders must collaborate to strengthen supply chains and explore local energy resources to support this transition.
