Teagan Mallegni, a 6-foot-1 forward from McFarland, Wisconsin, has announced her transfer from the Iowa women's basketball team to the University of Wisconsin. Mallegni, who has two years of eligibility left, struggled with injuries during her time at Iowa, appearing in only 15 games last season and averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Her sophomore year was marred by a concussion and an ankle injury, which delayed her season debut. Despite a promising performance against Wisconsin where she scored 10 points in 15 minutes, she found herself behind freshman Journey Houston in the rotation. With Wisconsin showing improvement last season, Mallegni is expected to take on a more significant role in her new team, just nine miles from her high school.
