Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for a revised startup policy to enhance the state's appeal to entrepreneurs and boost innovation. During a recent review of the startup ecosystem, he highlighted the importance of creating an industry-friendly framework that supports startups at all stages. The preliminary draft of the 2026 startup policy was presented, which aims to make Uttar Pradesh a leading startup hub in India. Adityanath emphasized the need for special incentives for women entrepreneurs, economically disadvantaged groups, and startups from specific regions, including Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. He also urged for increased support for deep-tech startups and proposed the establishment of innovation hubs in Lucknow and Noida. The CM noted that Uttar Pradesh's startup ecosystem has made significant strides, securing a top position in national rankings, and stressed the necessity of a dedicated startup mission to ensure the policy's effective implementation and foster a more structured and inclusive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
