Transformers & Rectifiers (India) (TARIL) experienced a significant 12% drop in share price, reaching ₹292.90 during intra-day trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company released disappointing financial results for the quarter ending March 2026 (Q4FY26). The stock had previously surged 31% in April, but the recent performance raised concerns among investors. For Q4FY26, TARIL reported a 3.3% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit after tax, totaling ₹91.1 crore, despite a 15.7% increase in revenue from operations to ₹782.67 crore. The company's EBITDA margin contracted by 210 basis points to 17.5%. Management attributed the revenue growth to improved execution of major orders and better production planning. However, the order book of ₹5,005 crore fell short of earlier projections, raising questions about future growth and execution capabilities. Analysts from ICICI Securities noted that while the full-year performance was strong, the Q4 results indicated cost pressures and weaker order inflows, which could hinder TARIL's growth trajectory going forward.
