On Saturday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the acceleration of railway infrastructure development in Assam. CM Sarma highlighted ongoing projects, including the expansion of over 1,300 km of railway tracks and the redevelopment of more than 50 stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The initiatives are expected to significantly improve passenger convenience and freight movement, thereby integrating Assam more closely with the national railway network.
