Weidmüller has announced that Schneider Electric has selected its SNAP IN connection technology for the new TeSys series of motor control products. This innovative solution enables a toolless contactor design that can reduce installation time by up to 75%, making it particularly advantageous for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and panel builders in North America. The TeSys Deca contactor, the first product to incorporate SNAP IN technology, is engineered for durability in harsh industrial settings. Marta Asack, Senior Vice President of Power Products at Schneider Electric North America, highlighted that this integration marks a significant advancement in modernizing motor control systems. SNAP IN technology allows wires to be inserted directly into contact points without preparation, enhancing safety and reliability. The rollout of this technology will begin with the TeSys Deca contactor and will expand to other products in the TeSys series. This collaboration underscores both companies' commitment to innovation and efficiency in industrial applications.
