Ahead of the upcoming West Bengal elections, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has launched an extensive campaign strategy to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The TMC organized more than 300 press conferences across the state, employing a two-tier communication strategy to address both national and local issues. This involved press briefings in Kolkata for broader topics while engaging directly with local matters in various districts. The party set up dedicated media cells in the state capital and across districts, ensuring daily interactions with the press to rebut BJP allegations and promote TMC's development agenda. A four-level attack plan was established for critical issues, which included filing complaints with the Election Commission, conducting press conferences at Trinamool Bhavan in Kolkata, and district-level outreach. Additionally, a team of over 40 spokespersons was stationed at Trinamool Bhavan to provide rapid responses to emerging issues, emphasizing the party's commitment to media management and narrative-building as central to its electoral strategy.
