A recent survey conducted among 2,000 pet owners indicates a significant shift in holiday planning, with 50% of respondents organizing trips around their pets. Notably, 26% have opted to stay within the UK instead of traveling abroad, primarily due to a lack of pet-friendly options. The study highlights that 54% of pet owners cherish the companionship of their animals during holidays, while 39% believe that traveling enriches their pets' experiences. In response to these findings, pet food company Carnilove has launched a pop-up travel agency named 'Pet Set Go' in Chipping Norton to provide advice on pet-friendly travel. The agency aims to help owners discover suitable destinations that cater to their pets' needs. Popular locations for pet-inclusive holidays include the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and Cornwall. Challenges faced by pet owners include limited dining options and restrictions on pet access to beaches and attractions. The survey also revealed that 38% of owners would be more inclined to book a pet-friendly holiday if there were no additional fees.
