The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has delayed the opening of its verification and revaluation portal for Class 10 and 12 board exam results, which was supposed to launch on June 1. As of Sunday afternoon, the portal still displays an “under maintenance” message. This postponement has raised concerns among students, especially those preparing for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process, which is set to begin on June 2 following the JEE Advanced results. Many students fear that further delays in the revaluation process could jeopardize their chances of meeting the 75% eligibility criterion for admission to prestigious engineering institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). In response to these concerns, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) has assured that all candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 can participate in the counselling process, but final admissions will depend on meeting the Class 12 percentage requirement. The lack of a new timeline for the portal's activation continues to leave many students anxious as they await updates.
