Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC's Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since February 1, 2023, after being reportedly abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Investigators suspect she was taken during the early hours of that day, with her pacemaker losing connection to her phone around 2:30 AM. More than two months into the investigation, no suspects have been identified. The FBI is currently analyzing DNA evidence obtained from Guthrie's residence, including a hair sample, which was forwarded to a private laboratory in Florida by the Pima County Sheriff's Department. Genetic genealogist CeCe Moore, in a recent interview, indicated that while analyzing rootless hair can be challenging, it has been successfully used to solve cases in the past. She noted that the FBI is likely prioritizing this case, given its urgency. Surveillance footage has been released showing a masked individual tampering with a camera at Guthrie's front door. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to her recovery or the arrest of those responsible.
