On May 2, 2023, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a meeting to evaluate the progress of various development projects in the Yamkeshwar, Pauri, Srinagar, Chaubattakhal, Lansdowne, and Kotdwar assembly constituencies. Recently, he approved projects worth ₹1,252 crore aimed at enhancing infrastructure and disaster management systems in preparation for the Kumbh Mela 2027. This includes ₹115 crore for the redevelopment of Triveni Ghat under the Rishikesh Ganga Corridor Project and ₹69.06 crore for North Har Ki Pauri development. Additionally, ₹6 crore has been allocated for upgrading the water supply scheme in Haridwar and another ₹6 crore for road improvements in the Har Ki Pauri area. As the Adi Kailash Yatra commenced, CM Dhami noted that all arrangements are in place to accommodate the expected influx of visitors, particularly after the Prime Minister's visit in 2023, which significantly boosted visitor numbers to sacred sites.
