The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 examination results for 2026, achieving an overall pass percentage of 93.70%, up from 93.66% in 2025. This year's results indicate a steady academic performance across India, attributed to reforms in competency-based assessments and curriculum rationalization under the National Education Policy (NEP). A total of 24,71,777 students appeared for the exams, conducted in 27,339 schools across India and 27 countries, with the evaluation of over 1.63 crore answer sheets completed efficiently by nearly 7 lakh evaluators.
Gender-wise, girls maintained a pass percentage of 94.99%, while boys improved slightly to 92.69%. The transgender category, however, saw a decline to 87.50%.
