M.K. Stalin, the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party, emphasized the necessity for the new government to uphold the welfare schemes initiated during the DMK's tenure. In a recent social media post, he asserted that these programs, which support women, youth, students, children, government employees, and marginalized communities, are crucial for ongoing development in the state. Stalin also acknowledged the support from alliance partners who reaffirmed their commitment to the Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) despite some shifts in political support, particularly from the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). He expressed disappointment over Congress MLAs not acknowledging the DMK's contributions, while appreciating the camaraderie shown by leaders from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other allied parties. This reflects a continued faith in the DMK's leadership and initiatives.
