The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (Riico) has approved the subdivision of large industrial plots, aiming to boost industrial development and attract entrepreneurs. This decision allows Riico allottees to divide plots of 20,000 square meters or more into smaller parcels, facilitating better land utilization and economic growth. Each subdivided plot must be at least 500 square meters and can only be subdivided after seven years from the initial allotment, provided it is free of disputes. Applicants must submit a layout plan for approval and obtain a no-objection certificate if the plot is mortgaged. The subdivision fee is set at 2% of the current market rate for the industrial area, and the original allottee must develop essential infrastructure within three years. The lease for subdivided plots will not exceed the original lease tenure, and new owners must commence utilization within two years of registration.
