On May 9, 2026, Bonela Vijaya Chandra, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), raised concerns regarding the leasing of government land in Addapuseela village, located in Parvatipuram-Manyam district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The MLA visited the site, which is reportedly being utilized by a brick industry and a welding shop, among other establishments. The owners of these businesses informed him that they had been paying rent to an individual named Bantudas for several years. Chandra expressed his displeasure over what he described as the misuse of government lands and called upon the local Collector, Sub Collector, and revenue officials to take immediate action to remove encroachments and safeguard public lands. He has also reported the matter to the Revenue Principal Secretary and other senior officials in Amaravati, emphasizing the need for urgent intervention.
