The Indian men's cricket team’s tour to Bangladesh has been rescheduled to September 2026, following initial plans for August 2025. This change was confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after discussions with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), considering the international commitments of both teams. However, relations have soured after Bangladesh announced a boycott of matches in India during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, raising concerns that the BCCI may choose to cancel the tour altogether. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia provided an update on the situation, noting that India's schedule is packed following the Indian Premier League (IPL) and includes a series against Afghanistan and a tour to the UK. After the IPL concludes on May 31, 2026, India will play a one-off Test against Afghanistan from June 6 to 10, followed by a series of ODIs. The team is also set to tour Zimbabwe in July and will start its home season with matches against the West Indies from September 27, 2026.
