Greta Gerwig's film adaptation of C.S. Lewis's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew has shifted its release date to early 2027, marking a significant change in Netflix's strategy. Initially set for Thanksgiving 2026, the film will now have exclusive IMAX sneak previews on February 10, 2027, followed by a global theatrical release on February 12, 2027. The movie, which explores the creation of Narnia by the lion Aslan, features a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep as Aslan, Daniel Craig as Uncle Andrew, and Emma Mackey as the White Witch. This adaptation is the first major film to depict Narnia's origins, based on the 1955 novel.
