In a separate decision, the Sky waived Hailey Van Lith, who was selected with the 11th pick in the 2025 draft and averaged 3.5 points in her rookie season. The decision was attributed to the coaching staff's preference for a different style of play. Van Lith, who struggled with an ankle injury last season, has generated interest from other teams. The Sky are now without both of their first-round draft picks from the past two seasons, as they also traded Angel Reese earlier this year.
