The Glacier High School track and field teams delivered an impressive performance during a dual meet against Butte High on Saturday at Bulldog Memorial Stadium in Butte, Montana. The Glacier boys team won decisively with a score of 97-48, winning every timed event except the 1,600 meters. Will Astle led the boys with a personal record in the discus, throwing 151 feet, 4 inches, which ranks among the top five in Class AA, and also won the shot put at 48 feet, 10 inches. Liam Palmer also shone, achieving a personal best of 40.32 seconds in the 300 hurdles, marking the third-best time in Class AA. The boys' team also saw victories from Kyle West (100 meters), Brodie Cooke (200 meters), and Brecken Evenson (400 meters), among others. Meanwhile, the Glacier girls triumphed with a score of 99-46, with Rylee Bigelow winning both the discus and shot put, while Ada Thiel made a rare double by winning the 400 meters and the 3,200 meters. The team's success was further bolstered by wins from Zeila Wagner (100 meters), Lucy Holloway (javelin), and several others, showcasing the depth and talent of the Glacier track and field program.
