As of June 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by ₹42 in Delhi, bringing the total cost to ₹3,113.50. This price adjustment also affects Kolkata, where the cylinder now costs ₹3,255.50 after a ₹53.50 hike. Additionally, the price of a 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen by ₹11 to ₹821.50. Despite these increases in commercial LPG pricing, the government has confirmed that domestic cooking gas prices will remain unchanged. Officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas have reassured the public that fuel supplies are stable and adequate, with no shortages reported. Refineries are operating normally, and oil marketing companies have been instructed to maintain sufficient LPG reserves for at least 30 days. While current LPG demand exceeds domestic production, the supply backlog has been reduced to approximately 4.5 days.
