General Manoj Mukund Naravane (retired), the former Chief of the Indian Army, has reaffirmed his stance that India has not lost any territory to China, amid political controversy following remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Naravane stated, “I stand by that statement even today,” emphasizing that the matter is settled from his perspective. He criticized the opposition, suggesting that their disagreement is rooted in perception rather than facts, stating, “If somebody doesn’t want to believe it, that is his choice.” Naravane expressed frustration over being drawn into political debates, particularly regarding his unpublished memoir, 'Four Stars of Destiny,' which Gandhi attempted to quote during a recent Parliament session. The Speaker intervened, preventing Gandhi from citing the unpublished work. Naravane further challenged the narratives of territorial loss during the 2020 standoff with China, suggesting that questioning the Chinese government could clarify the situation regarding territorial integrity.
