In Paterson, New Jersey, a female high school student has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly punching a police officer during a confrontation outside John F. Kennedy High School. The incident unfolded on Tuesday at approximately 2:30 p.m. when police officers, who were on an off-duty assignment, responded to reports of a fight occurring outside the school gates. As the officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, one officer was struck in the face by the student.
