Nagpur University (NU) is set to introduce a suite of new-age, industry-oriented degree and diploma courses starting in the upcoming academic session. This initiative aims to enhance employability and address the needs of the evolving job market. The university will soon begin admissions for these programs across its autonomous academic departments. The courses are structured under the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) model, which emphasizes practical exposure and better job prospects for graduates. Vice-chancellor Manali Kshirsagar highlighted the university's commitment to providing innovative and employment-focused education that aligns with changing industry requirements and technological advancements. Among the notable new offerings is the BSc (Hons) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, which will prepare students for careers in machine learning, data analytics, and AI technologies that are increasingly sought after in various sectors. Additionally, NU will offer BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and Cyber Science, focusing on digital security and ethical hacking. Another significant addition is the BSc (Hons) in Semiconductor Materials and Devices, aimed at bolstering India's semiconductor manufacturing industry.
