Neeraj Chopra (two-time Olympic medallist) is set to train at the Olympic Training Centre in Bienne, Switzerland, for 47 days as he prepares for the upcoming Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. After undergoing rehabilitation for a back injury in Türkiye, Chopra, along with his coach Jai Choudhary and physiotherapist Ishaan Marwaha, will focus on regaining full fitness before competing again. The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has approved the training proposal, which includes travel, accommodation, and a daily allowance of $25 USD for the team. Chopra's primary goals this season are the Glasgow Commonwealth Games from July 23 to August 2 and the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4. Last season, he struggled with injuries and finished 8th at the world championships, unable to defend his title. His best performance was a throw of 90.23m at the Doha Diamond League. In addition to Chopra, the MOC also approved training proposals for other athletes, including pistol shooter Manu Bhaker and long-distance runner Gulveer Singh.
