The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) announced that 95.33% of students passed the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination in Odisha, with girls achieving a pass rate of 96.37%, outshining boys at 94.29%. A total of 5.36 lakh students appeared for the exam, with 5.19 lakh successfully clearing it. The results were shared by Nityananda Gond, the state’s school and mass education minister, who noted that no malpractice was reported this year due to the introduction of dynamic QR codes and watermarks in question papers. Gajapati district recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.31%, while Keonjhar had the lowest at 95.33%. Additionally, this year's HSC certificates will be bilingual, including Odia for the first time. The BSE also reported results for the Madhyama (Sanskrit) and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examinations, with pass rates of 87.3% and 59.82%, respectively. The supplementary exam for HSC will be conducted in July, with online form submissions starting from May 8.
