Trent Williams, a 37-year-old offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers, has agreed to a significant two-year, $50 million contract extension, as announced by his agents. This new deal includes $37 million in guaranteed money and a $22 million signing bonus. With this extension, Williams becomes the first non-quarterback in NFL history to surpass $400 million in total contract value and $225 million in guaranteed money. Williams was previously in the final year of a three-year, $82.6 million contract signed in 2024, and this season, he is set to earn a base salary of $32.6 million with a salary cap hit of $46 million for the 49ers. Over the past six seasons, he has started 84 games for the team, earning five Pro Bowl selections and four first-team All-NFL honors. Williams began his NFL career with the Washington Commanders, where he was a first-round pick in 2010 and earned an additional seven Pro Bowl nods.
