A tragic incident unfolded in Anand Parbat, central Delhi, on Friday night when a 21-year-old man was attacked by a group of seven individuals. The victim was discovered lying unconscious near a garbage dump close to Ramjas Park, suffering from severe injuries to his chest and head. Despite the immediate arrival of police, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police were alerted via a PCR call reporting that three boys were assaulted by the group, who had previously quarreled with the victim and his friends. Following the attack, one suspect, identified as Virat alias Gattu, aged 22, was arrested, and a knife used in the crime was recovered. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was apprehended. The police are actively pursuing the remaining suspects involved in the brutal attack. Investigations revealed that the victim and his friends had been involved in an earlier altercation with the attackers, which escalated into this fatal confrontation. A case has been registered at the Anand Parbat police station under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and efforts are ongoing to bring the other assailants to justice.
