Ayan Ahmed Tanvir Ahmed, a 19-year-old resident of Paratwada in Amravati district, Maharashtra, was arrested for allegedly circulating obscene photos and videos of women and minors online. The police reported that he lured victims into a 'love trap,' taking them to cities like Mumbai and Pune, where he filmed them without consent. The investigation revealed that the accused is linked to 180 minors, raising serious concerns about the extent of the abuse. He faces multiple charges, including sexual assault and harassment, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the IT Act. Following public outrage, especially from Rajya Sabha MP Anil Bonde, a Special Investigation Team comprising 11 police officers and 36 constables has been established to ensure thorough investigation. The Amravati District Administration has also taken action by demolishing part of the accused's residence as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.
