Sector 14 in Gurugram is facing significant civic challenges, as residents express their dissatisfaction with ongoing issues such as poor sanitation, damaged roads, and illegal encroachments. Despite numerous complaints to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), residents report little action has been taken to address these concerns. The area suffers from illegal dumping, with vacant plots being used as garbage sites, and door-to-door garbage collection remains inconsistent, occurring only every two days rather than daily. Road conditions are also a major issue, with potholes and uneven surfaces causing safety concerns, particularly during the upcoming monsoon season. Additionally, residents highlight that many rainwater harvesting systems are non-functional due to lack of maintenance. Illegal encroachments further exacerbate congestion, particularly in the market area, where footpaths are obstructed by vendors and unauthorized structures. MCG officials have acknowledged these issues and indicated that improvements, including new garbage collection contracts and road repairs, are underway.
