JSW One Platforms, a B2B marketplace poised for an initial public offering (IPO), has acquired BuildNext Construction Solutions, a proptech startup supported by Pidilite Ventures. This acquisition, executed through a share-swap arrangement, allows Pidilite to retain its investment in BuildNext while transferring its entire stake to JSW One. The deal is valued at a mutually agreed amount, with Pidilite Ventures committing to invest up to ₹22 crore (approximately $2.6 million USD) in BuildNext through compulsorily convertible preference shares. This strategic move aims to enhance JSW One's existing offerings under JSW One Homes, which focuses on integrating materials procurement, design, execution, and project management for home builders, contractors, and architects. Gaurav Sachdeva, joint managing director and CEO of JSW One Platforms, emphasized the need for a technology-led approach to address inefficiencies in India's fragmented home construction sector. He believes that the addition of BuildNext will provide a more organized and predictable home-building experience. Founded in 2015 and based in Kochi, BuildNext offers innovative home construction and interior design services, operating virtual reality-enabled experience centers. The demand for housing in India is on the rise, fueled by urbanization and increasing disposable incomes.
