Following the announcement of the West Bengal Assembly Election results, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of orchestrating impersonation of its workers to mislead the public and incite disorder. Reports of violent clashes emerged after the elections, with the TMC alleging that BJP members were responsible for the murder of one of its workers in Birbhum’s Nanoor. The BJP's statement highlighted vandalism of TMC offices in various locations, including Tollygunge and Kasba in Kolkata, and other districts like Howrah and Baruipur. The BJP has vowed to take strict legal action against anyone impersonating its workers or engaging in intimidation, stating that it will not tolerate such actions. The party underscored its commitment to restoring law and order in the state, asserting that the electorate has given a decisive mandate for change, with the BJP winning 206 seats in the 294-member Assembly, compared to the TMC's 80 seats.
