Following the release of exit polls predicting a victory for the United Democratic Front (UDF) in the Kerala Assembly elections, leaders from the Congress-led alliance expressed optimism. The Axis My India poll suggests the UDF could win 78-90 seats, while the Manorama C-Voter poll estimates up to 94 seats. In contrast, the Left Democratic Front (LDF), led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), remains skeptical, pointing to the historically poor accuracy of exit polls in Kerala. KPCC chief Sunny Joseph believes the results reflect public sentiment favoring the UDF, despite challenges faced during the election process. Meanwhile, LDF leaders, including Public Works Minister PA Mohammed Riyas and CPI(M) state secretary MV Govindan, argue that the LDF is on track for a historic third term, citing a lack of anti-incumbency sentiment. The IUML, a key partner in the UDF, has indicated support for VD Satheesan as a potential chief minister candidate if the UDF secures victory.
