Gravita India saw its consolidated net profit decrease by 3.4%, amounting to ₹91.88 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, compared to ₹95.13 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Despite the profit decline, the company reported a 13.1% increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹1,172.76 crore. Profit before tax also fell 7.5% to ₹105.95 crore. Total expenses rose 12.25% to ₹1,075.67 crore, driven by a 26.52% increase in the cost of materials consumed and a 41.49% rise in employee benefit expenses. EBITDA increased by 4.05% to ₹112.91 crore, although the EBITDA margin dropped to 9.63% from 10.46% year-on-year.
Management highlighted a strong performance for FY26, with volume growth of 5%, revenue growth of 10%, and a 21% increase in profit after tax (PAT). The company has made significant capital investments, including ₹372 crore in capex, and is expanding its recycling capabilities. Notably, Gravita is diversifying its operations with a new copper recycling plant planned in Mandvi, Gujarat, with an estimated cost of ₹160 crore. Additionally, the company acquired a 98.95% stake in Rashtriya Metal Industries Limited for ₹559.08 crore, enhancing its product offerings in copper and copper alloys.
