The Madras High Court in Chennai has issued a ban on the circulation of a leaked high-definition print of the film 'Jana Nayagan', following a plea from its producers, K V N Productions LLP. Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy granted this relief after the film was reportedly shared on social media and other online platforms. The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 2. Previously, on January 9, a single judge of the court directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to issue a censor certificate for the film's theatrical release, responding to a challenge from the producers regarding the denial of certification. However, on February 10, the producers chose to withdraw their plea, leading to the dismissal of the petition as withdrawn.
