On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of Punjab laid the foundation stones for development projects valued at ₹150 crore in Tanda Urmur, located in Hoshiarpur district. The projects aim to enhance local infrastructure and health services, featuring modern road improvements and a high-level bridge connecting the Hoshiarpur-Dasuya road with gurdwara Rampur Khera at a cost of ₹2.39 crore. Additionally, health wellness centers will be established in six villages for ₹3.3 crore, along with an urban primary health center in Garhdiwala costing ₹1.35 crore. Mann criticized the Shiromani Akali Dal for past political failures, framing the current initiatives as a restoration of dignity and a moral correction in Punjab's politics. A water supply project worth ₹54 crore has also been initiated in Talwandi Daddian village. AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia highlighted the positive public response to these developments, asserting that the AAP government has outperformed previous administrations in terms of developmental progress over the last four years.
