Authorities have identified the deceased individual found in a vehicle in Kansas City’s Northland as 42-year-old Jonathan Brooks, who had been reported missing since March 26. The Kansas City Police Department responded to a report about a Jeep parked in a treeline near Northeast 38th Street and North Ewing Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brooks dead in the car, which was located near the Bennington Park Townhomes, just north of the Missouri River. Capt. Jake Becchina of the police department noted that Brooks was found in a deep state of decomposition. He was last seen driving a gold 2003 Jeep Liberty on the day he went missing.
