Antonio Gracias, an associate of Elon Musk and founder of Valor Equity Partners, is on the brink of becoming one of the wealthiest investors globally as SpaceX approaches a potential initial public offering (IPO). According to SpaceX's S-1 filing, Gracias controls nearly 7.3% of the company's Class A shares, which could be valued at around $92 billion if SpaceX achieves an expected valuation of $1.5 trillion. Gracias has maintained a low profile despite his significant influence in Musk's ventures, which began over two decades ago through connections in Silicon Valley and PayPal. Valor Equity Partners, established by Gracias in 1995, was a key early investor in SpaceX, increasing its stake as the company grew. The recent filing also highlights the expanding financial relationships between Musk's various enterprises and Valor, including $20 billion in equipment lease agreements for AI infrastructure with xAI subsidiaries. If the IPO proceeds as planned, Gracias could dramatically increase his wealth and status among the world's richest individuals.
